RareSky Media signs on RKM Development to Increase it's Market Share

Hollywood comes to the Denver Tech Center

While it may not be the biggest news in town, it warrants attention.

What do you do? Here's what I do!

Let's get down to brass tacks.  This is me.  I'm Robert Maxfield

I'm a Business Development Expert focused on creating Branding, Marketing, Sales and Creative Service Strategies that drive prospects and customers to buy products and services.

I'm at the top of a network of creative and business professionals that develop and implement plans that increase market share for small and medium sized companies.

We create all the collateral, design websites, Search Engine Optimization, Social Networking, Advertising, video production, sound recording, talent searches, google analytics, research, etc.  We create website content, corporate videos, live camera productions, commercials/promotions, and any and all motion graphics that go with it.

My network consists of a Creative Services Production Co, a Telecom Co. that provides cutting edge Broadband services, a Non-Profit organization focused on Rehabilitation, an Advertising Co, a Documentary Filmmaker, and a smattering of other businesses.  The network grows weekly.  For example, I will be contacting John Cassell to discuss The Sheraton using us for all of their corporate client's video and sound recording needs.

I remain a Fee based Contractor, yet I can accept a % of sales, and ownership package.

I'm looking for Decision Makers in all fields that need a Big Picture Marketing Guru (me), that can launch or re-launch their products and services' in such a manner as to dramatically increase their market share.   Profits!!!

I'm especially looking for Decision Makers who understand that the Visual and Aural Mediums are still the BEST mediums for affecting customers in a positive way!   I'm also looking for any companies in the Denver area that have 20+ employees.  If they are heavy into Video Uploads and Downloads, then that is  a plus.

This pretty well covers it.

Not Your Average Joe

Tell Your Kids a Story....of Your Lifetime!

Dearest followers of wise old family tales.  I'm a believer in being a role model for children, teenagers, co-workers and everyone we come in contact with.

I'm a huge believer in leaving an eternally long Legacy before we die.  As we get older, we get wiser.  In the later years of our lives, we are the wisest, and have so much to offer future generations.

Being a 30 year vet of the Film Biz I especially have a passion for story telling.  Mixing these two passions together, I came up with the idea of doing Biographies on normal people's lives.  Not to sell, but to leave behind for their children.

The children love to hear the "real" stories about Dad.  The grandchildren are compelled to know more about their genetic past.  Everyone is compelled to know more about the history that was in the making during the time, and location, of their grand and great grandparents.

So give of yourself.  Give the gift of a Legacy on YOUR LIFE !

Who You Are and What You Give

Who You Are, or What You Give?

When writing, expressive yourself, or just being you, it’s not so important as to what you are or think you are, what is important is What You Give to Others.

You can have a low self-esteem, you can have a bad day, you can be a pain in the ass at times.  But, the answer to getting more out of your life, stems from the amount of life that you give to others.

What do you give?  Do you stop, look around, realize what you have or what you’ve done that is so amazing, and then tell yourself, “you know what, what I do or did is pretty cool, and I bet someone could gain a little something from this”?  Do you ever stop and do that?

I say stop, stop being such a selfish, insecure pudderhead, and just share because life is interesting, people are interesting, doing unusual things is interesting.  And quite possibly, if not quite probably, you’re going to inspire someone.

One catch, don’t dominate the conversation.  Yeah, you must listen too.  In fact, if you’re the type that thinks your so damned interesting that you dominate all social and business settings, then this article is not for you.  You, yes you, need to listen.  But that’s a whole other story.

For now my friends, share, share what you’ve done and who you are.  Trust me, we can learn from your stories.  Tell us a story.  We love stories.  We laugh at your inequities.  We get comfort in knowing that you screwed up, or that you learned something.

So share my colleagues, share your stuff, and live!!!

When You're Up You're Up

When You’re Up You’re Up, but what about when you're down?

What do you do?  What do you do when you can’t even get yourself off the couch because you’re so unmotivated?  What do you do when you’re having a day that’s so bad, that you know deep in your soul, that not one individual or thing is going to change your attitude?  What do you do?  I say…..nothing.

Yep, I say nothing.  You see, you just said it to yourself.  You analyzed up and down, and you have determined that nothing is going to change your mind.  You don’t want to talk with anyone, you don’t want to see anyone.  You know that whatever you say or do in front of the other person is going to come out wrong, be misinterpreted, or just flat out be mean.

So, I say, don’t do anything.  Just sit there.  Don’t do anything.  Take a nap, take two  naps.  Take a shower.  Read something completely off the wall for you.  Turn all radios and TV’s off and don’t do a blasted thing.  Why bother, it isn’t going to help.

You see I believe that sometimes, if not all of the time, it’s better to go with the ugly flow.  That’s right, if you want to work through something, it’s best to feel as much of the ugliness as you can.  Feel it everywhere, feel it in your bones, in your head, in your attitude, in your heart and mind.  Consume yourself with the ugliness to the point that you get sick of it.

Yes, Yes, it’s best to get as sick as possible from that ugly crap that you’re carrying around.  Then, when you finally get so sick and tired of feeling and acting that way, something shifts.  Something shifts, and you don’t always know why, how, or when it’s going to happen.  But it’s going to happen.  There is going to be a shift in your conscious, your attitude, your physical posture, and your interest levels.

When that happens you will move.  You will get up.  You will get going.  You will get back to your old self and you will go, go, go.  You’ll go, go, go, so much that you’ll wish you’re back on the sofa again.  The important thing to remember is that when you’re up you’re up, and when you’re down you’re down, and there is nothing you can do about it, but recognize it, acknowlege it, and go with it 100%!  No one ever said that giving 100% meant racing through life every single day with a positive attitude.  Many times a person’s just gotta have their 100% negative time too!

So relax, take a chill pill.  But when the shift happens, get your mojo on and run with it.  And most of all, appreciate each and every moment for what it is, just another blasted cycle.
No, you’re not the most pitiful person in the world.  That person lives next door…remember.

Chin up, chin down….you’re just fine.

What Dream Would You Fulfill?

What dream would you fulfill, if you had unlimited resources?

What if you had a dream, a big dream, and it was a dream that you've been having over and over again your entire life. You can even remember when you were a little kid thinking and pondering this dream. You probably even believed that one day you would rise above all else and become the person in that dream.

And then, as is usual with most of us, your dream never seems to come true.  Perhaps it was really, just a dream.
So, WHAT IF you could be anything that you wanted to be. What if you could utilize all of your skills and talents, along with your unique Gift, and accomplish everything that you had ever hoped for?  What if you could truly experience Joy?  I know, Joy, what's that?  You've had moments of joy haven't you?  Well, what if you could live with Joy in even the worst of circumstances?

What if you could raise the capital to start that business you've always wanted.  What if you could travel to Europe and beyond. What if you could have access to the most talented experts in your field of endeavor.  And what if you could do all of this now, what would you do?

What would you do, or what would you build, or achieve, if you could bring your dream to life?  And how would you do it?  How would you find true Joy in every day that you spend in this lifetime?  I've got a good idea, how about you?

Tell me,

Robert

Taking it to the Max: Learn And Live !

Learn And Live !

I've been thinking about this uncontrollable passion I have for learning.  I received a beautiful Book from the Kauffman Foundation in KC, of which I'm a Subscriber, and on the front cover there is a profound quote:

"Every day you may make progress....Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path.  You know you will never get to the end of the journey.  But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb."    - Winston Churchill

Wow !!!

In my "in progress" book, "Taking it to the Max", I take the reader on a journey, the "Hero's Quest".  I make an assumption that we are born into a Rat Maze, with unique characteristics.  And it's in our DNA to find the cheese.  Especially since we're a hungry lot.

I further compare our journey through the Maze, to travailing, if not flailing along the "Hero's Quest", or Journey.

And, having spent 30 years in the motion picture biz with some of the most high profile and Academy Award winning actors & Producer/Directors, I go a step farther, and make an assumption that we are all PRODUCERS.  We're also actors, writers, directors, costumers, cinematographers, etc.  We write our own stories, create our own characters, decide our own plot line, make our own choices, overcome our obstacles, help others get to the cheese, and kiss the girl!

Pretty cool, huh?  And the best part is, that "Taking it to the Max" coaches all of us to Happy Endings!  No, not that kind.

So, for now go to:   http://bit.ly/ltYqHI     and find out about the beginning of the book.

Enjoy,
